It does concern me that we have had all pre-season to sign a striker and failed dismally so far.
This was an area that Fatty and DG (via Twitter) said was the main reason for the 2nd half of the season slump last year.
Striker wise we are now in a far worse position than we were last year. In saying that DS has done pretty well with his signings over the last couple of years so i suppose we have to give him some more time.

He will probably make a start from the bench in our second premier match.
Which is too soon.
A player who depends upon rapid acceleration must take longer I'm prep than players who are strength and stamina players.
I am also concerned about TOMKs shoulder injury and its rehab.

Scan on Monday ankle and knee - unless the Manager & coaching staff are knicker wetters does not look good.
As for Carroll, realistically any contribution will be a bonus, so we need a couple of strikers.
